The staff was really friendly and easy to deal with, which I appreciated. The only thing was that the service felt a little slow here and there, so that part could’ve been better.

So, yeah… my pool experience has been real. At first, I thought it would be easier to maintain than it actually is, but after a little trial and error, I got the hang of it. There were a few moments where I was like, okay… what am I doing wrong? But once everything was balanced and cleaned up, it felt totally worth it. Nothing beats being able to just step outside and relax by the water, especially on a hot day.

The room itself was fine, but the bathroom felt worn out. The grout looked dirty, the shower pressure was weak, and the sink drained really slowly. I’m not sure if they’ve just been putting off maintenance or if it was only my room, but for the price I expected a bit better.

I stayed here with my mum, who uses a walker, and it was straightforward. Most areas were easy enough for her to get around, and the staff were kind enough to help with doors when needed. The lift was a little slow, but was it a big deal? Not really. Overall, it made the stay feel a lot less stressful.

Stayed here for a bit of a relaxing break, and the grounds were probably the best part for me. There’s loads of space around the hotel, so even when it felt quite busy inside, outside was still calm and easy to enjoy. The views over the golf course were really nice, especially in the morning, and it was a good spot for a walk when we had time. A few of the paths looked like they could use a little attention here and there, but nothing major. Overall it just made the whole stay feel a bit more special, which was exactly what we needed at the time. I’d happily go back.

I had a question about my booking and they replied fairly quickly, which I appreciated. The first answer didn’t completely sort it out, but these things happen, and they fixed it without making a big deal out of it. Overall, I’m happy enough with the service.

The room was okay overall, nothing too special but it was fine for the stay. The kettle didn’t work though, I was a bit disappointed because I’d been hoping to make a quick cup of tea.

I was expecting a smoother visit and some clearer instructions on how things worked. A lot of the machines were taken, and a few of the ones I did use felt old and sweaty. Not the worst gym experience, but definitely a bit of a letdown.

We stayed at Ramside Hall for one night and it was fine, it really was fine overall. The place looks nice when you arrive, and our room was clean and comfortable enough, so I can’t really complain too much about that.
I just came away feeling like, for the money, I expected a little bit more. Food and drinks were pricey, and while some areas were lovely, other parts didn’t quite feel as special as the price makes you think they’re going to feel.

The staff were pleasant and we did have a nice enough time, so it wasn’t a bad stay at all. I just wouldn’t be in a big rush to go back unless there was a decent offer on, because at full price I’m not sure the value is really there.

Played here recently. Honestly... not great. The greens were patchy in a lot of spots, and the fairways just looked worn out. Kind of tired overall. For what they’re charging, I expected better. Didn’t really feel worth the green fee

For some reason, the mattress felt a bit harder than I was expecting, but I still slept alright overall. Not the coziest feel at first, but it wasn’t bad.

We went for a meal and the food itself was good, so no complaints there. But the parking situation was a real pain. The spaces felt too far away, and it wasn’t clear where we were supposed to go. We ended up arriving late and a bit annoyed, which took the shine off the evening a little

It’s a lovely place and I really wanted to enjoy it more, but the service was slow. I kind of regret going when we were short on time because it made the whole experience feel a bit frustrating.

Check-in was smooth overall. Staff were friendly, which was nice. It was a bit busy, so we had to wait a little. Nothing major though. Once someone got to us, the room key was sorted really quickly.

To be fair, the hotel itself was nice enough and we didn’t have any major issues with the place. But some of the staff didn’t come across as very professional, especially at reception. They were a bit blunt with us and not really that helpful when we asked questions. It kind of felt like we were bothering them half the time, which was disappointing. I just expected a bit better overall.

I went for afternoon tea and thought it would be better. The place itself is lovely to sit in, but the sandwiches were a bit dry and the service was slow, even though it didn’t seem that busy. The scones were fine, but nothing I’d go back for. Maybe it’s just one of those places that looks nicer than the actual experience ends up being, but based on this visit, I didn’t feel like it was worth the money

Everything looked super clean and properly fixed. No issues at all, tbh. Happy with the whole thing!

Ramside Hall was in a convenient spot for us since we were driving. It’s not far from Durham and really easy to reach from the main roads. The grounds are lovely too, and once you’re there it feels fairly peaceful. I mean, the location was fine for our visit, but I wouldn’t say it was amazing. If you don’t have a car, I think it could be a bit awkward, as there isn’t much nearby to walk to, so you’d probably end up relying on taxis or just staying at the hotel

I had a really good time here. The spa was spotless, which I really appreciated because places like this should take cleanliness seriously, it’s just the right standard to have. The pool area had a chilled, easygoing vibe, and the treatments were properly relaxing. Felt like they actually cared about doing things well...

We had breakfast here during our stay and it was fine overall. I’m assuming it may have been a busy morning because some of the food came out more warm than hot, and the coffee took longer than expected. The staff were friendly, which definitely helped, and there was a good selection to choose from. It wasn’t bad by any means, but for the price, I’d have expected things to be a bit sharper.
